Sachin in new version of Phir Mile Sur

Will he save the embarrassment?

Kailash Surendranath, the mastermind behind the widely ridiculed 'Phir Mile aur Mera Tumhara' stated on Monday that Sachin Tendulkar would appear in the new version of the song.

Fans were utterly disappointment with the exclusion of the Maestro in the recently released video, and Surendernath said that he could not rope Sachin earlier because the cricketer was busy playing back-to-back matches. "Very soon we will see Sachin in the edited version of Phir Mile Sur. He is keen to do the song. We had tried to get him as well as other cricketers earlier but they were busy playing back-to-back matches and, moreover, we were under pressure to release the song on Republic Day," Surendranath said.

The video was met with harsh criticism by viewers, who complained that the new version is only a brand-accentuating piece that nether captured the magic of the original nor had a hummable tune. The videos that were uploaded on YouTube were pulled by Zoom TV on account of the extraordinary number of hate comments, of course they claimed that it was a matter of copyright infringement.

'Phir mile sur' featured all the new generation film stars including Aamir, Shahrukh, Salman Khan, Vikram, Surya, Mahesh Babu, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor (and even Amitabh Bachchan who was in the original video), apart from and musicians like AR Rahman, Shankan-Ehsaan-Loy, Sonu Nigam, Shivamani, Shaan, Kavita Krishnamoorthy etc. Also in the video are sports stars Abhinav Bindra, boxing champ Vijender, Bhaichung Bhutia, Saina Nehwal, Gopichand etc. Will Sachin save Zoom the embarrassment?
